2008 steering championship rules.

1. Skippers must sail the same boat in each round. (Multiple entries allowed, ie. more than one boat per skipper in each round).
2. Marks will be awarded against each boat/skipper combination.
3. Each attempt will be timed and the fastest time will decide the highest scoring skipper if a tie on points is reached.
4. Points will be deducted as follows:-

1 point for each buoy or surface touched

(All surfaces are live once the competitor has started).

3 points for a missed gate

5 points for a navigational error.

5. Rounds will start with each skipper being awarded 100 points and any penalties deducted from that score.
6. More than one run will be allowed if time permits and the best score for each skipper will be counted towards the final tally for the season.
7. The judge’s decision is final.
8. Enjoy yourselves and have fun…..it’s only a hobby after all!
